We are a group of system administrators who have a long history of experience with the incompetence and lax customer service standards of Network Solutions (Verisign), and we were absolutely thrilled when the opportunity to handle our domains with someone - anyone - else presented itself. We immediately became an OpenSRS RSP and offered our services at cost to members of the sysadmin community. The response has been overwhelmingly positive - it seems quite a few people were just as upset about Verisign's poor service as we were. The allegations of 'slamming' made by Verisign are, in our case, completely and wholly false. Every last one of our transfers has been made with the full knowledge, consent, relief, and heartfelt thanks of the domain owners. The raw truth of the matter is that OpenSRS adds a great deal of value above and beyond Verisign by virtue of their extremely streamlined and efficient management interface, for less cost, and with better customer service. Verisign is hemorrhaging customers for that reason alone. Brian L. Naylor John Payne
